• covers critical reading, writing and mathematics
• 3 hours and 45 minutes for test 
• arrive at the test center by 7:45 a.m. 
• take admission ticket,and acceptable photo ID, several #2 pencils, an acceptable calculator, a watch, a snack
• read and think about all the questions 
• in math mark key information on graphs 
• SAT has 10 sections 
• all questions are worth the same amount 
• wrong answers have 1/4 of a point subtracted
