The purpose of the executive branch is to enforce the laws that was set by the legislative branch and rulings set by the judicial branch. They enforce rules such as the prohibition of marijuana and the creation of bridges. The way they take care of things like that is through the multiple agencies that are in the administration. The way that this works is that after congress passes a bill they send it to the President to be signed. Once the bill is signed then the president must contact the head of the respective department to execute whatever law was passed. Once the head of the department is contacted and informed on what needs to be done they must contact the people and send an order for them to execute the law that was passed. The positions the presidential cabinet are the Vice President, Secretary of State, Secretary of Treasury, Secretary of Defense, Attorney General, Secretary of the Interior, Secretary of Agriculture, Secretary of Commerce, Secretary of Labor, Secretary of Health and Human Services, Secretary of Housing and Human Development, Secretary of Transportation, Secretary of Energy, Secretary of Education, Secretary of Veteran Affairs, and Secretary of Homeland Security. Many of these different departments will work together to achieve their goals. For example the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of Homeland Security will work together to prevent terrorism. The Department of Homeland Security will gather intel and protect individuals that are within the country. While the Department of Defense will prevent terrorism outside of the country. For example The Department of Defense will send intel to the Department of Homeland Security to make sure that there are no home grown terrorist. This is shown during the threat of Al Qaeda, the Department of Defense would be sending troops to the Middle East to stop the terrorism there but they also got into America. When this happened the Department of Homeland Security would use the information and resources of the Department of Defense to prevent the spread of terrorism in America. One very important position in the cabinet is the Vice President. HIs job is to be the communicator between Congress and the president. So when the President wants to have legislation pushed through the Vice President will talk to Congress on what the President will pass. Then Congress will have a counteroffer to what the president wants. For example when Obama was trying to pass his healthcare policy they had to go back and forth about how many people the bill would cover and how much it would cost the Vice President was the person who was talking to Congress to tell them what they wanted. So basically, the Vice President is the messenger of the President and Congress. The role the the Berracurracy plays is that they execute the things that the president needs to take care of. For example the Central Intelligence Agency collects information for the other departments so they can take care of threats to the nation. They keep tabs on known terrorists as well as keep track of potential threats to the nation. Advisors are there to help the President make decisions on where to send people and how to handle situations that he has to deal with. They are there  for the president to talk to and to help him gather any information that he needs in order to make decisions on how to deal with problems.

California Forward looks to create more jobs for the middle class. California Forward’s mission is to provide a chance for every individual in California to pursue their dream by helping the government with important decisions that will influence the public,  “We want a government that is small enough to listen, big enough to tackle real problems, smart enough to spend our money wisely, and honest enough to be held accountable for results.” I am from a upper middle class family and I have seen how middle class families support the economy and help it strive. This is because they have a lot of disposable income as well as have a mass amount of individuals in this income bracket. Seeing my parents sacrafice a lot of time and energy to support me really inspires me now to work hard and be able to take care of them. This is the advantage that have a strong middle class can have. The middle class is the backbone of the American economy because they are both producers and consumers and when the middle class is strong everyone benefits. This is because when they make a lot of money they will spend a lot of money thus create jobs for everyone as well. This has been seen by those that are in the upper class income bracket. The first to realize this was Henry Ford who reduced the workweek to 5 days so people would have time to  buy his cars opposed to the old 6 day work week. Other companies have realized this and some have reduced their work to a 3 day work week.

I agree withe their stance on helping the middle class.However they should take it one step further and  California should increase the wages and decrease the work week so there is no wasted time at work on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc. The increase of wages would give people more money to spend and have more taxes for the government to make communities better and rebuild parks, schools and roads. The increase in jobs and the increase in wages would make communities lives better because there would be less of a gap between the rich and the middle class. However, the rich would be able to have more product because their workers would be happier and waste less time on their computers and be working on their work because they would be more inclined to because of the constraint on time as well as the fact that their bosses treat them better. In the end the bill that California Forward supports would make it better for everyone creating a stronger economy because more people would have more money to spend. However, they should take it one step further by increasing wages of the middle class and decreasing the work week. Ths would make a happier workforce that would also be more productive and be able to make the upper class more money. In the end, this bill benefits everyone because everyone will be making more money and be happier overall.
