• usually you can work out the answer to a vocabulary-in-context question just by reading the sentence in which it is included 
• but sometimes you may have to read the sentence before it 
• when a word has several meanings, a vocabulary-in-context question won't necessairily use the most common meaning 
• one word can have many meanings 
• questions asking for the meaning of a word or phrase refer to the meaning in the context in which the word or phrase is being used in the passage 
• be sure to read enough of the context to thoroughly understand the meaning of the word 
• for literal comprehension questions you need to understand information that is directly presented in the passage 
• findthe the place in the passage where the detail is discussed 
• don't use outside knowledge 
• recognize the different ways of stating the same fact or idea 
• cross out incorrect responses as you eliminate them 
• be sure you can support your answer by referring to words or phrases within the passage that support it 
• in pair passages one of the passages will oppose,support or in some way relate to the other 
• you must answer the question in terms of the statements. assumptions, or inferences that the writer is making, even if you don't agree with what the writer has said 
• the question is meant to see if you understand what the writer has written 
• best is an important word in test questions because it usually asks you to find the most suitable or most acceptable of the answer choices 
• look at all the answer choices before making a decision 
• when you see chiefly you will probably be looking for the most central element or most important explanation of something 
• a question with "excerpt" usually asks you to identify words or phrases that don't belong with the other choices 
• the author implies asks you to come to a conclusion about the excerpt 
• read passages carefully because all the answers come from the passage 
• every word counts be aware of words describing people, events and things. 
• pay attention to small details such as looks 
• read questions and answers carefully 
• think about what the question is asking
• look back at the passage for information that will help you with the question

The Game In The Shadows 

"Some who were close to him thought his drive to be acknowledged as the premier flowed from an intense sense of rivalry with his father, a baseball player whom Bonds seemed to emulate and resent in equal measure. Indeed, many of the quirks in Bonds' complicated personality-including the impulse that led him to use banned drugs that would transform him" (Fainaru-Wada and Williams 24). Mark Fainaru-Wada and Lance Williams, two writers for the San Francisco Chronicle wrote an investigative narrative, Game of Shadows, on the case of Barry Bonds and the upbringing of BALCO. BALCO is a nutrition company who was founded by Victor Conte. Victor Conte was a self-proclaimed nutrition expert who convinced athletes into taking steroids and other performance enhancing drugs without any concrete evidence on the effects of the drugs. In the book the author's focus is on the case of Barry Bonds and how Conte got his claim to fam. Conte was a former musician who saw a business in tricking athletes into believing they needed his help and injecting them with steroids. Conte had many famous athletes buy into his concept the one highlighted in the book is Barry Bonds. Barry Bonds was a former baseball player and son of a legendary ball player in San Francisco. At the time Bonds was an all-star player who was striving to be elite, he turned to performance enhancing drugs which got him the fame he wanted, but this decision later gave him a plethora of trouble. The case of Barry Bonds is the most recent one of many cases in the history of sports where athletes have been caught cheating. The trend of the modern athletes who cheat is the use of performance enhancing drugs.

The Best Place I Have Visited

  The best place I have ever visited is Hawaii. It is the best because the weather is great and it is very exotic. The feel of the island is very laid back and there is a lot of amazing scenery around the island. The beaches are very beautiful and so is the city. There is a lot of great food and a lot of stuff to see and do.

The first time I went to Hawaii it was for the premier of Pearl Harbor. My mother and I flew in because my Dad was already there because his ship was there for a dock. When we came in we went to see my dad get off the ship. We then went to the hotel and relaxed for a little. Then for dinner we went to a luau. The next day we went to see the premier of Pearl Harbor.  We watched the movie and it was really good and detailed very good.  We watched it on the ship and were one of the first people in the world to see the movie. I thought it was pretty cool to be one of those people. After the movie we went around Hawaii. After a little sightseeing we went to the hotel. After a few days my Mom and I went back home and my Dad went on his ship. We later met in San Diego. This place is my favorite because I have a lot of memories here and it is a beautiful place.

I also believe baseball is a very fun sport and has a lot of strategy to it. There are many rules but the basic ones are easy to follow. Baseball has been played for over a century and is played in many different countries. It is commonly played in America but other countries also play this sport.  People usually start this game at 3 to 4 years old but you can start whenever you want and it’s easy to get a hang of the sport.  In this sport you can also make a lot of new friends because there iss a lot of people who already play it. This sport is also very easy to learn because there are a lot of people who already know the game and there is also a lot of places to learn the game if you don’t know it. Also you can play baseball year round. There are also a lot of places that play year round.  Another reason why baseball is great is because there is a lot of games you can watch. There is also many video games and sports cards for this sport. This sport has a lot of memorabilia and you can either make a lot of money from this or you can become a collector of these items. Also this sport has been through the hardest times through American history. This sport has helped stop the segregation of the U.S. with the first African- American baseball player in Jackie Robinson. This game has been going on for a long time and has a lot of history behind it. This game is truly amazing and requires not only physical abilities but also mental abilities. You always have to pay attention and have a lot of concentration and also be able to run fast, hit the ball, catch and have a lot of other skills.  Baseball is also a great sport because it is very influential to everyone. It has been the source of American culture and will continue to be for many years if not forever. Baseball is also a great sport because anything can happen in the game because there is no time limit. There can never be a tie so it is always competitive. As you can see I think baseball is an amazing sport and it is a lot of fun. I hope you have or will experience this amazing game.

My Favorite Vacation

  My favorite vacation was when I went to LA with my Brother and my Dad. We went to Magic Mountain and Nike Town. It was a great experience because I had time to spend with my brother who I had not seen in a while and we got to have a lot of fun. It all started with a trip to Magic Mountain. My brother and I went together because my dad wanted to stay behind because he couldn’t handle the rides. We met up with some of my brother’s friends later and stayed with them too.

  The day started when we got dropped off by my dad at Magic Mountain. We then walked around and found a ride. Then we went on it. The ride was a lot of fun because it was really fast and intense. After that we met up with my brothers friends at a ride and went on with them. Later through the day we kept going on different rides. On one of them we went through the ride and then went through it again backwards. After riding for a while we went and got something to eat. After we had lunch we walked around to let the food digest. Then we went on some other rides. My favorite one came at the end. It was called X. It was my favorite because it was fast paced and very thrilling. In the ride you were hanging off your seat. Then you went through a normal type roller coaster.  After a long and exciting day we went back to the hotel.

  The next day took a drive to Nike Town because my Brother had recommended going here. It was very nice there. They had tons of shoes there. We looked around to see what was there. We each picked out a pair and our Dad bought them. It was a lot because these shoes weren’t out in other stores and this was the only store that had them. After that we went home. This trip was my favorite because I had a lot of fun and I got to spend time with my brother who I had not seen in a long time.

Should Marijuana Be Legalized?

 

I think Marijuana should be legalized. I think it should be legalized because it is a natural drug that comes from the Earth. If it comes from the Earth I believe it should be good for you. Some hospitals have used this before but most people are hesitant on it. I believe it should be treated as any other drug. It should have to be prescribed and if someone gets it not prescribed to them they should be punished for it.  If they legalize it people will feel better when they are prescribed to take it. I believe people feel guilty right now when they are prescribed it because everybody thinks marijuana is a bad thing. If you legalize it then people who take the drug won’t feel so bad when they take it. I believe in today’s America if someone is seen taking Marijuana they are perceived as a bad person. I don’t believe these statements should go through the people’s minds in America. I understand that people can take the drug for the wrong reasons but you can do that with any drug. People take drugs for the wrong reason in anything from sports, television to everyday life. Legalizing Marijuana would be like legalizing any other drug. I believe if alcohol is legal so should Marijuana. They both are claimed to do bad things to you so then why should alcohol be legal and not Marijuana? I think the consequences when caught being drunk and driving and high and driving should be the same. I think if you legalize it less people will be in jail also. A lot of people go to jail for being caught with this drug. So if you legalize it then it will get people who have done nothing wrong out of jail. This will get cops that are looking for marijuana users off of that and onto more important matters. Also if you legalize the drug fewer teens will use it because they won’t feel as cool because they know it’s illegal. Legalizing it would also make gangs not have to sell it. If American companies sell it then it will help our economy and also gangs would stop selling it because the people would know they could get the same thing legally and not get arrested. As you can see from this paper legalizing this drug will keep people out of jail and the people that need to use the drug will not feel so bad when they use the drug they are prescribed. I believe if marijuana is legalized it will have a lot of beneficial effects.

My Favorite Gift

 My favorite gift was given to me on Christmas. It was and Ipod. It was a 64GB and had a black front that is a touch screen and at the top there is a camera on it. The back has a reflective cover with the apple sign in the middle. In the box it came with an adapter and headphones that both connected at the bottom. The headphones fit in to the ear and are white. This is how my favorite gift looked like.

  The Ipod came with many features.  On feature it has is a music app. On the app you can download songs off Itunes and listen to them. You can also delete songs and play your playlists that you would create on you computer. Another feature it came with is a camera app. On this app you can take pictures with the camera and look at your other pictures. Also on this app you could take videos and watch other videos you have recorded. The Ipod also came with an Internet app. On this app you can go on websites and search stuff on google. Another app it came with was the youtube app. On the youtube app you can watch videos that other people made and upload videos that you have recorded.

 The Ipod also came with 2 store apps. In one of them you can buy music. In the other you can buy games or other applications for you ipod that will instantly download when you select it. The Ipod also comes with a calendar app. In this app you can plan things for the future, check past event and check the date. Another feature of the Ipod is the contact app. On this you can save contacts and video chat with people and save contacts on it. 

The Ipod also comes with a clock, calculator and voice memo app. On the clock app you can check the time in your area or check the time in different time zones. Also you can change you time zone. Another feature of this app is you can time your self and set timers. You can also set alarms on this app. On the calculator app you can calculate different numbers. You can put the calculator into two different settings. One is the scientific setting and the other is the simple 4 function calculator.  On the voice memo app you can remind yourself of events or set reminders for future events. As you can see the Ipod is a very nice electronic and has many features this is why this is my favorite gift.

My Favorite Food

 

  My favorite food is my Dad’s barbeque. It is my favorite because it has a lot of flavor and is very filling. It is very juicy and has many flavors. The meat is very tender and very well cooked.  Sometimes it has different flavors but it is always good. This is how my dad’s barbeque tastes.

  I have been eating my Dad’s barbeque ever since I could ever remember.  I have always liked it and have always wanted the first piece. I remember I would always ask for a piece while he was cooking. He would always marinate the meat for a long time and that’s why I think it’s so good. He would later freeze it for later.  It doesn’t matter what kind of barbeque he makes I always know it will be good. I love to eat it with potato salad or rice. His ribs can go with anything and can be eaten any time of the day.  He would always make a lot so we could have it for later. As you can see I think my dad’s ribs are very good. This is why my Dad’s ribs are my favorite food and I will always like it.

My Favorite Athlete

My favorite athlete is Ichiro Suzuki. He is my favorite athlete because he is a very good hitter and I hope to be like him I also like him because he has a very strong arm and can throw very far. He is a great inspiration to me to get better at baseball.  These are reasons why Ichiro is my favorite athlete.

 Ichiro Suzuki was born on October 22, 1973 in Toyama Japan. He has 2 hitting records one for most hits in a single season and most consecutive 200 hit seasons. He started playing baseball in high school and later moved to America and started playing for the Seattle Mariners. In his rookie season he led the American League in stolen bases and batting average and also got a golden glove. He got one for his first 10 years of playing. He also has a hitting streak high of 27 and 7 20 game hitting streaks. He has become a international phenomenon and became so famous to mail something to him all you have to put is Ichiro. As you can see Ichiro Suzuki is a great athlete and a consistent hitter. These are reasons why he is my favorite athlete and one day I hope to be like him.

I will start with the 16^th. On the 16^th my family and I rode a plane to the Philippines. Ounce we got there we were picked up by Kuya A.J., Kuya J.P., Ate Abegail, Mama Elvie and Tita Sally and we all went to the mall. Then we wnt to Krispy Kream and met Auntie Delia, Kuya Jherico and Ate Daisy. While we were there we at donuts and had coffee. Then we headed to Mama Elvie’s hous. On the way we dropped off Ate Abegail at her dorm. Then we went to Mama Elvie’s house. On the next day it was Papa Conrad’s Birthday. We went to his grave and said Happy Birthday then we went home.

On the 19^th it was my Mom’s birthday.  All of her friends came. On the 20^th, 21^st and 22^nd I did nothing. The on the 23^rd my Ate Abegail, Kuya Angelo, Kuya A.J, Tita Sally, Mama Elvie, Mom, Dad and I went to the resort named La Vista. At this resprt we ate and swam. Then we went to Mt. Samat. Then on Cheistmas we went to Mama Elvie’s sisteter’s house. At this place we played many games. Then we went to my Mom’s oldest brothers grave. Then the next day we went on a boat in Agay and Pagsanhan falls. Then today we went to Corigador. At this place my Kuya A.J., Kuya J.P., Mom , Dad and I went on a tour. Then after the tour we went home.

Ounce it was New Year my Kuya A.J., Kuya Angelo, Ate Abegail and I shot off fireworks. On that day our whole family came over to Mama Elvie’s house. On the 2^nd I did nothing except play counter strike. Then today my Kuya Angelo an my Mom, Dad and I went to a resort. At this resort we ate and swam.

Ounce we left Mama Elvie’s house we went to the Mall of Asia. The people who were in the car was my Kuya A.J., his girlfriend, Tita Sally, Mama Elvie, my Mom, my Dad and I. Ounce we got to Los Angeles we drove to San Diego. While we were driving my Dad got a ticket. After a couple of days we flew off to Italy. Our first stop was in San Francisco. The airport was very cold. The plane on the airplane to Germany was very big. Then we finally landed in Italy. In Italy my Mom’s sponsor picked us up. Then we went to the Navy Lodged and dropped off our stuff. Then we went to the bowling alley with our sponsor and ate. Then we went home. Today we went to the Commissary then went home.

This weekend was long and a lot of fun. It all started on Thursday. We got out of school at 1:00. During the day of school we didn’t really do anything since the day was short. After school I went home for a little bit before I went to practice. Practice was very easy because we had a game against Aviano the next day. The next day I woke up and ate breakfast. Then I went into the room and played games for a little. By the time I had finishe playing it was already 3:00 p.m. So I headed to practice. At practice our coach gave us the news that we were not going to play Aviano. We were angry we weren’t going to play them because we had been preparing for this game the whole week. He asked us if we were too upset to play but we decided to still have practice. We didn’t do much since it was Friday and we wer not supposed to have a game. Then one of our coaches asked one of the adults if we could play their team. They accepted our challenge. We were excited to have a game after all. Then our coach let us go to change and get ready for our game. We played very hard and I even got to play at the end of the game. After the game I went home with my mom and dad. Then we ate dinner and went to sleep. On Saturday I woke up and started by eating breakfast. I ate Tuyo and rice with corned beef. Then I went to the tennis courts and had a lesson with Jan. The lesson was very useful and we worked on my serve heavily. After the lesson I went home. At home I didn’t really do anything. Then we got a called from Jerick’s parents. They called us to come and celebrate his birthday at their house. When we walked in I saw all of Jerick’s friends. It was kinda akward being there because I didn’t really know them. I mean I knew who they were but I never hung out with them or anything like that. After a while I started to get comfortable around them. While we ate we watched Madea’s Big Happy Family. It was funny after this we went to his room and started to prank call people. It was pretty funny. After a good time of prank calling people we went to the bowling alley to go cosmic bowling. It was a lot of fun it was completely dark and everything you wore glowed up like light bulbs.  Jerick and I bowled for an hour till my mom picked us up. Then we both said bye and went home and went to bed. Today I woke up and went to church. Church was very quiet with the pastor preaching his words. I wasn’t really listening but I picked out some things. After church we went out and ate the donuts provided outside the building. Then I went over to my friends and we talked. After a while I had to go to Sunday school. We learned about the story of Martha. We talked about it deeply. Then I went home. I was not home for long because we had to go to a Fil-Am meeting. They ended up not having a meeting though so we ended up just eating. Then we went home and rested. After a while we got a call from Jerick’s mom inviting us for dinner. We then headed down for dinner. We had steak it was delicious after a couple hours of eating, talking, watching T.V. and having a good time we left. Then I got ready for bed and went to sleep. This weekend was filled with fun and I really enjoyed it.

Today I woke up and ate breakfast. I had fried rice and meat. While I was eating I was watching Sports Center. After I ate I went to school. My first period was History. In history we worked on our paper on the civil rights movement. After it was break I talked with my friends then headed to English. We had a sub ( thank god) he was pretty nice I guess I couldn’t really tell because all we did was watch a movie. After that I went to third period that was chorus. Chorus was ok all we did was sing a bunch of songs. Then I went to lunch I had pork chops and rice. After I finished my food I talked with my friends. After that I headed to Italian. Italian was good I guess all we really did was listen to videos. While we were doing this I was playing on Hunter’s I pod. Then it was the end of school. After school I learned we were having practice at the base gym. I then went home got my things and then headed over there. Practice wasn’t that hard because all we did was work on plays and other small things.  Over all practice was pretty fun because we got to scrimmage a little. After practice I headed home. Ounce I got home I went on my computer for a little and then my mom called me to eat. After we ate I washed the dishes and took a shower. Then I got back on my computer for a little to talk to people. .  Then I brushed my teeth and went to bed. Over all today was pretty laid back but still fun.

Today I woke up and then went to school. In school I didn’t do much. In P.E. we watched a video. Then it was break. I talked with my friends a little then went to seminar. In seminar I worked on my Algebra homework I forgot to do. Then I headed to physics after the bell rang. In physics we watched a video. While we were watching Nikki and I were talking to each other. After the period ended we went to lunch. I had steak for lunch. It was pretty good. After lunch I headed to Algebra. In Algebra we turned in our work and took notes. After the bell rang I went home and got my stuff for practice. At practice Coach Lord wasn’t there so Coach Nichols took over. He made us run a lot it made us mad. We also got to play games and shoot a little bit which we liked. After practice I went home and ate. I had fried chicken with mashed potatoes and vegetables. It was good. Then I went to the Circe due cele performance. It was really cool. They did a lot of flips and did things I didn’t even know people could do with there bodies. Then in English we watched Romeo and Juliet it was ok but I couldn’t understand a lot of it. After that I had chorus. In chorus we worked on our song. Then I had Italian. In Italian we played memory. After school I had basketball practice. At practice we ran and did drills. Then I went home. Then we got a call from Jerick’s parents for dinner. We went down and ate. It was good. After I went upstairs and got cleaned up and went to bed.

Today I woke up and ate breakfast. After I ate I went to school. My first period was P.E. we just talked about Olympic sports.  Then it was break I didn’t do anything but talk with my friends. After I went to seminar. In seminar I worked on my math. After seminar I went to physics. In physics we worked on a packet. After it was lunch. I had meat and rice. Then I played basketball. After lunch I went to Algebra. We had a sub. We worked on a packet the whole period. After I went home, got my stuff and went to basketball. At basketball practice we ju8st worked on plays. After I went home and my parents came home. Ounce they got home we went to the commissary. We got snacks for my basketball game in sigonella. After we ate dinner and I got cleaned up and went to bed.

This weekend has been a lot of fun with my basketball games in sigonella. We won both of our games. I got to play the second game and I made a basket I was so excited. The trip was long but a lot of fun. I earned 20 dollars on Friday because I made 2 half court shots. The whole team was excited when I made them. Overall this weekend was a lot of fun.

During break I studied the Romeo and Juliet prologue. It was hard when I did the test but I ended up getting a good grade anyway. After I went to physics. We worked in the book during this period. After that it was lunch I had pansit. After I had algebra it was very boring because we only did notes. After I went to practice. I later discovered I did not have to be there but I stayed anyways. I shot around for a littlee and got some tips from DJ’s dad. I think it helped me a lot. After I went home and had dinner. After that I got ready for bed and went to sleep.

This weekend was very long it all started on Friday. We drove all the way to Aviano and got there Saturday afternoon. We stopped at a few ceramic places on the way. My mom bought a lot of plates. After we headed to the base in Aviano and rested. After we rested for a little we went to a buffet for dinner. We ate a lot and were all full. Today we woke up and ate Then we drove back home on the way we went to a mall and looked around. After we went to dinner at an Italian restaurant. This weekend I had a bunch of baseball games. It all started on Thursday . We left Naples at 6 and got to Vicenza around 2 or 3 in the afternoon. When we got there I met some people I met in basketball. After we got into our room we went to eat and went bowling it was a lot of fun. The next morning we went to there baseball field and played them. We won both games. 4 to 5 and 14 to 1. After that we got on the bus and went to Aviano for our next games. While on the bus we had a rap battle it was fun but I got in a little bit of trouble because of what I said in my rap. Ounce we got there we went to eat and went to our room. The next day we played Aviano and played their team. We won both games. After that we got on the bus and went home. We got home at around 1 am. Then I went to Chorus and we worked on our songs for the trip. After that I went to Italian and we took a test.  Then I went with the marching band to hold the rifle. The I went home, ate and went to sleep.

Last week I went on the trip to Gardaland with the band and choir. It was a lot of fun. On the first day we went to our apartment’s. Then we went to theHptel’s restaurant. The next day we went to Verona  We saw Juliet’s balcony and went around the city. Then the band had a performance. The next day we went to Gardaland. It was a lot of fun. Then we went and marched around gardalino. The next day we went to Venice for our performance in the church. This week has been a lot of fun. This week was pretty good I went to school and had baseball practice. Also this week Coach Marlow told me I was going to Europeans. Today I woke up and had breakfast then I went to school. School got out at 1 today. After school I went to the teen center. At about 4 I left and went to practice for baseball. Then I got ready for bed and went to sleep.

Yesterday I woke up and had breakfast. Then I went to school. My first class was P.E. In P.E. we didn’t really do anything but some questions. Then I went to seminar and was on the computer working on Italian. After that I went to Physics. We watched a movie. After that I went to Algebra and we took notes. After that I went to practice. It was on base and we hit in the batting cage. After that I went home then I went with my dad to the commissary. After that I went to Melody’s house to study my music terms. I did pretty good but I still have to work on it. Then I stayed a little longer while she worked on her Marine Biology work. Then I went home and had dinner. It was good. After that I brushed my teeth and went to sleep. Today I woke up and had breakfast. Then I went to school. In school the kids that were going on the Italian trip met in the atrium. After we got settled we got on the bus and went to the school. Ounce we go to their school we had a presentation on their school. Then we went to their classes. After that we went to the Jazz Band performance by our school. They did really well. After that we went to the cafeteria for lunch. After that we left their school and went back to ours. Ounce we got off the bus I said bye to Melody because I am going on a trip for European’s and then went home. Ounce I got home I packed then went on the Internet. Then I ate dinner and went to the bus.

Yesterday I woke up and went to church. At church I met Melody’s cousins who are visiting for her graduation. After church we went home and got the stuff for the Fil-Am meeting.  When we were about to go we found out there was no Fil-Am meeting.  So when this came up we went to the church’s barbeque. At the barbeque there was a lot of people and there was also games. I played football with a couple of younger kids and it was a lot of fun. After the barbeque I went with Melody, her cousins and her grandma to the pool. I had a lot of fun. After that I went home, had dinner and went to bed. Today I woke up and had breakfast. After that I went to school. My first class was history. In history we presented our letters we wrote last class. After that I went to English and we did some work in the book. After that I went to chorus. We watched a movie. During the movie I was on the piano making beats I think they sounded pretty good. After that I went to lunch. I had Torta. After that I went to Italian. In Italian we did worksheets. After that I went home, got my stuff and went to tennis practice. At practice I hit with Conor, George and coach Ray. After that I went home and had dinner. For dinner I had Inisal chicken. After that I got ready for bed and went to sleep.

Today I woke up and had breakfast. Then my mom, dad and I got ready for church. Church started with singing, then we went around and said hi to everyone and they introduced everyone who was new. After that the Chaplin made announcements. One of them was about how Melody was leaving for college next week. After that the Chaplin prayed for them while we laid hands on her. After that Olivia and her sang it was pretty good. Then we went on with the service. During church the Chaplin talked about god’s love. It was kinda interesting. After church I went home while my parents went to the NEX and commissary. After that they came home with lunch. It was sandwiches during lunch we also watched a movie. It was called The Perfect Game. It was about these Mexican kids who got there own little league baseball team and at the end their pitcher threw a perfect game. It was good and very inspirational. Then I went to the tennis courts and hit some tennis balls at the wall and I also practiced my serve. After that I sat at the table near the courts to rest. After that I went home and had dinner. During dinner we watched a movie called TRUST. It was about an internet predator case. After that I took a shower and went to bed.

On Friday I woke up and had breakfast. After that I stayed in the house and played MLB 2k12. After that I had lunch then I went to the teen center. I played pool and basketball at the teen center then I went to Melody’s going away party. She had all of her friends there which was pretty awkward for Jerick and Me because we didn’t really know them. After a while they left. After that we went with Marla and AJ around the base. After that I walked everyone home and then went to Auntie Shelia’s house to get my parents then we went home. The next day Jerick had his going away. The same people where at his going away besides Melody’s friends and AJ. We stayed around there and just hung out. Then we walked home. Today I woke up and went to church. In church they talked about trust. After that I talked with Melody and said my good byes. I am really going to miss her. After that we went home and just hung out. After that at dinner time we went to Auntie Shelia’s house to eat. After that we went home and got ready for bed and went to sleep.

Today I went to my brothers graduation. I saw my dads side of the family there and we all sat through the ceremony. I don’t think any of us wanted to be there but it dosen’t matter anyways because we all wanted to see my kuya jester graduate. After that we went to my Uncle Ray’s house to eat dinner and celebrate my brothers accomplishment and we also played a little poker. I didn’t decide to write in this to just talk about how everything went but to just put my thoughts down on a page and hope that noone ever reads the words till I am long dead and forgotten. As the party went on we all were talking and having fun and the reoccurring subject that came up is my future. Well I do have a litlle bit of an idea  of what I want to be but not completely. I don’t think any of us know what we want to be but through our lives we keep searching and searching till we are in a hospital and if we are lucky we will reach the answer right before we die. I don’t know why but as I write this I have Emma Stone’s voice in my head saying these words. I keep trying to decide what I want to be but it isn’t a concrete thing yet. Anyways my mom started to talk to me about it in the car. I don’t know for what reason but every time she talks I just want her to shut up. Its not that I don’t love her or anything like that but its so annoying hearing her nag about everything. Also that made me think about how our family is completely split in 2 as far as personality goes. My mom’s side is all sophisticated and shit. While my dad’s side is laid back a little. Not that they don’t both care for education because in America who dosen’t. but they approach the same topic from different points of views. I think this creates internal conflict within myself which I think will help me become a complete person. I think when my mom talks to me though she kinda degrades me. Its like why the hel did you do this or that. I don’t know what it is but that makes me not want to listen to her. I know she wants to convey a message but she needs to convey her message in a different way. So I don’t know what I want to do with my life I think I will either be some kind of computer artist or a lawyer or a journalist. Its kinda scary to think that working is so close. Being out in the real world applying for jobs hoping you get an offer and then proving yourself to a company. I guess teens document everything because they don’t want to be forgotten. They want to be remembered by all the generations. What happens when we die? Do we go to heaven or hell or do we just rot in the ground. I hope there is somewhere else. I hate how parents want to know everything about you and then when you tell them the truth its like oh I am so offended how could you say that. Well you wanted the truth right now you got it. So that was my dad full of difficult thought about the future.
