The Purpose of language is to be able to communicate to other people. It gives us the ability to communicate our ideas and thoughts to other people. We read to learn. We use it to learn about discoveries by other people that lived before and live now. We also read to learn about the ideas and thoughts of people from the past and now. We write to communicate ideas. We use it to tell other people about experience and interpretations of the world and pieces of information. We also write to record information. We also write to tell stories. We tell stories which we make with our imagination and stories of our own experiences and the world. These are reasons for language, why we read and write.
